Well, you know nothing about symmetry. Watch “Skyfall” and learn!
“Skyfall” is built on the principles of symmetry. While watching you ask yourself: why Sam Mendes did this? What was the point?
The answer lies in the concept of The New Bond. The whole trilogy (“Casino Royale”, “Quantum of solace” and “Skyfall”) was made for one thing: to restyle such an old and well known thing as James Bond. As we know, there’re two more movies with Daniel Craig lies ahead, so we can suggest that “Skyfall” is a pinnacle of this renovation. The axis of symmetry shifts in the end of this movie, as seen in the lower image. They’ve turned the pattern upside down and put everything in the right place: Bond is a man of blood and flesh, M is clever and open-minded, and Moneypenny is in the office.
“Skyfall” is the turning point in the history of Bond, the point where he looks in the mirror and learns about himself.
